Fans got a thrill when Jacob Lowrie and Trevor Ray connected against Live Oak. The connection went for 60 yards, the longest such play in Butte View this season.
Winters's Lowrie recorded the longest rushing play in the league this season in his game against the Lions last week. Lowrie scampered for 66 yards on the play and finished with 232 on the day as his team defeated Live Oak.
Randy Post threw for 188 yards and 4 touchdowns.
Lowrie provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Winters bested Dan Johnson's team. He completed 3 passes for 93 yards and 2 touchdowns and also ran for 232 yards. Lowrie's favorite target this week was Ray, who caught 2 passes for 67 yards.
Lowrie was a force in the backfield as Daniel Ward's team beat the Lions.
Ryan Burdick made the biggest impact on defense this week as Wheatland fell to Sutter. The 6-foot-0 junior.
Tyjuan Prince was the best wideout in the league this week as the Huskies topped the Pirates. Prince tallied 4 receptions for 129 yards.
5-foot-10 quarterback Post of Sutter is the league leader in passing yards this season with 800. He has also thrown 10 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Kavi Ram. The Orland star has 22 catches for 327 yards.
Fans will be thrilled by an exciting game in the secondary when Orland's Ram goes up against Ryan Reynolds' team's Andy Brower.
The Warriors are currently in first, while Las Plumas is in fifth.
The Thunderbirds scaled the state rankings by moving to 863 from 909 this week, the biggest jump in Butte View. Las Plumas climbed the ranks as a result of defeating Oroville 21-10.
