OXFORD, Miss. -
Forrest County Agricultural (Brooklyn, Miss.) snapped the eight-game winning streak of
Lafayette (Oxford, Miss.), with a 21-6 victory on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a touchdown in the second quarter, the Aggies led 14-6 at the half.
Forrest County Agricultural grew its lead to 15 points entering the fourth quarter. FCA scored once in the quarter on a touchdown pass by
Carter Hankins to
Dontavian Lee.
With the win the Brooklyn school extended its winning streak to nine games. Forrest County Agricultural defeated Quitman 25-14 last week.
Coming into the game the Aggies had allowed 26.8 points per game this year. Forrest County Agricultural held firm on the defensive front, and kept the Commodores well below the 20.9 points it had been averaging per game.
The loss comes after Lafayette defeated Cleveland 42-19 last week.
