On Friday, The Menaul Panthers faced the Legacy Academy Silverbacks in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Menaul was outmatched by Legacy Academy at home and fell 44-12. Menaul's defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
James Akins continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Legacy Academy, rushing for 138 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.1 yards per carry. The team also got some help courtesy of Lorenzo Sedillo-Urban, who threw for 75 yards and two touchdowns.
Menaul's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Legacy Academy, their victory was their sixth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their overall record up to 7-1.
Menaul does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Legacy Academy is also done with their season.
