Assumption never let their opponents score on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 13-0 margin over the Van Meter Bulldogs. Considering the Knights have won nine contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Assumption is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-10 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.2 runs over those games. As for Van Meter, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-10.

Coming up, Assumption will take on Central Clinton at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Van Meter, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-0 loss against MOC-Floyd Valley on the 26th.
