Irving is 8-2 against Berkner since March of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Tigers will challenge the Rams at 7:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Tuesday.
Berkner will square off against a team with plenty of momentum: Irving extended their winning streak to four on Friday. Everything went the Tigers' way against MacArthur as they made off with a 14-5 win.
Kamilah Rodriguez made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-6 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those three hits gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Royce Johnston was a standout: she got on base in all six of her plate appearances with five runs and one stolen base. Those five runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Isabella Monjarraz, who went 3-for-5 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Irving always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .575 or higher in four consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Berkner hadn't done well against Nimitz recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way last Thursday. The Rams blew past the Vikings 28-11. Considering the Rams have won nine games by more than eight runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Kinley Akeman was incredible, going a perfect 5-for-5 with one home run, seven RBI, and four runs. That home run was her first of the season. Jasmyne Bell was another key player, going 4-for-5 with four runs, three RBI, and two doubles.
Irving's record now sits at 5-20. As for Berkner, their record is now 11-12.
Tuesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Irving has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .513. However, it's not like Berkner struggles in that department as they've averaged .590. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Irving got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in April of 2025 against Berkner by a conclusive 10-2 score. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rams turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
