In what's become a running theme this season, El Capitan/Centennial Academy gave their fans yet another huge win on Wednesday. They blew past Red Mesa, posting a 90-21 win at home. The win made it back-to-back wins for El Capitan/Centennial Academy.
Sheldon Ortega and Nicamiah Vigil certainly did their best on Wednesday to avoid the loss. Ortega scored eight points along with five rebounds, while Vigil scored seven points. Vigil continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played.
El Capitan/Centennial Academy pushed their record up to 21-5 with that victory, which was their 20th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.3 points per game. As for Red Mesa, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 11 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-18 record this season.
El Capitan/Centennial Academy will be playing at home against the Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Red Mesa does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
