The Greenfield Bruins lost against the Monte Vista Christian Mustangs back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Greenfield fell 57-49 to Monte Vista Christian.
It was another big night for Nico Downie, who scored 20 points along with two steals for Monte Vista Christian. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Quizon, who scored eight points along with three steals.
Greenfield's defeat dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Monte Vista Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.
Greenfield will head out on the road to face off against North Salinas at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully North Salinas focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Tuesday. As for Monte Vista Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Pajaro Valley at 7:00 p.m. Pajaro Valley is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
