After flying high against the Gainesville Leopards last Wednesday, the Springtown Porcupines came back down to earth. Springtown was the victim of a tough 54-31 loss at the hands of Eastwood on Thursday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Springtown has scored all season.
Devin Falk-Ramirez continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Eastwood, scoring 19 points along with four steals. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Falk-Ramirez has scored at least 25% of Eastwood's points. Another player making a difference was Naythan Sauceda, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds.
Springtown's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Eastwood, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.
Springtown will be playing in front of their home fans against Sanger at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Eastwood and Carter will round out the year against one another at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday at. Carter has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
