The Grace Prep Lions will be playing at home against the Trinity Christian Lions at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the pair posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Saturday, Grace Prep took their match at home with ease, bagging a 64-7 win over Trinity Christian. The victory was just what Grace Prep needed coming off of a 27-7 loss in their prior match.
Bryce Prince got back to being his usual excellent self, as he rushed for 177 yards and four touchdowns on only 12 carries. Prince was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 62 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Joseph Irvin, who rushed for 108 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries.
Meanwhile, Trinity Christian had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 34.8 points), and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They blew past Lake Country Christian, posting a 48-7 win at home. The result was nothing new for Trinity Christian, who have now won five contests by 26 points or more so far this season.
Their wins bumped Grace Prep to 3-4 and Trinity Christian to 6-1.
Grace Prep was taken down by Trinity Christian 56-14 when the teams last played back in November of 2022. Will Grace Prep have more luck at home instead of on the road?
