James River HomeSchool can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent game on Tuesday. They breezed by Farmville Homeschool at home to the tune of 75-28. While fans of James River HomeSchool might be used to big wins, the 47-point margin marked the team's biggest win yet this season.
Matthew Thomas continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 32 points along with four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayden Woodworth, who scored nine points.
Meanwhile, Loudoun County HomeSchool was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Saturday as they fell 48-42 to Northern Virginia HomeSchool. While losing is never fun, Loudoun County HomeSchool can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 323rd, while Northern Virginia HomeSchool is ranked 135th).
James River HomeSchool pushed their record up to 12-7 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.8 points per game. As for Loudoun County HomeSchool, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season.
James River HomeSchool strolled past Loudoun County HomeSchool in their previous meeting back in January by a score of 58-42. The rematch might be a little tougher for James River HomeSchool since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
