Baseball Recap: Frisco's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Frisco had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Independence Knights. The Raccoons have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Knights, too.

Frisco saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bryce Nickson, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. Another was Jorge Villareal, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Frisco's win bumped their record up to 19-6. As for Independence, they moved to 8-6 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Frisco will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Knights: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
