The Ridgecroft Rams put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They secured a 52-46 W over Lawrence Academy. Given Ridgecroft's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 34th, while Lawrence Academy is ranked 155th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Ridgecroft found their leader in underclassman Hannah Slaughter, who scored 19 points. Camryn Taylor was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Ridgecroft pushed their record up to 13-0 with that victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.3 points per game. As for Lawrence Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 9-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ridgecroft will take on Albemarle School at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lawrence Academy, they will head out on the road to take on Pungo Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
