Salisbury Christian's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their ninth straight loss. They fell 62-53 to Faith Baptist School. While losing is never fun, Salisbury Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 302nd, while the Falcons are ranked 27th).
Faith Baptist School got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Eli Miller out in front who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Zach Miller was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Salisbury Christian has been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-18 record this season. As for Faith Baptist School, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Salisbury Christian will take on the at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Faith Baptist School, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Minutemen at 6:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Hopefully Concord Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 last Friday.
