The Glencoe Yellowjackets''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 42-26 to Ohatchee. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Glencoe in their matchups with Ohatchee: they've now lost six in a row.
Despite the loss, Glencoe had strong showings from Brady Kitchens, who rushed for 92 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 carries, and Jayden Patton, who picked up 159 receiving yards and a touchdown. Patton was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield for a catch that went for 64 yards.
Leading Ohatchee to victory were Colby Hester and Nate Jones. Hester rushed for 166 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries, while Jones rushed for 201 yards and three touchdowns.
Glencoe's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Ohatchee, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Glencoe will be playing in front of their home fans against Geraldine at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Ohatchee, they will head out on the road to face off against Plainview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Plainview is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.
