Belvidere lost against Rochelle back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bucs fell just short of the Hubs by a score of 11-10. Even though they lost, the Bucs' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.4 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

Paul Stark made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Mark Moore also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Belvidere's loss was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Rochelle, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Coming up, Belvidere is taking a road trip to take on Woodstock at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Blue Streaks have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.6 runs per game on average), something the Bucs will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Rochelle, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Princeton at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
