Everything went their way against the Watauga Pioneers as they made off with an 18-7 victory. The Huskies' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Maleah Lovell made a splash no matter where she played. She pitched five innings while giving up three earned (and four unearned) runs off nine hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and two doubles.
In other batting news, Addi Williams was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with three runs and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Nadilyn Eason, who went 4-for-5 with four runs, one double, and one RBI.
Ashe County kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
