It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the University Christian Christians can now relate to. They fell to Trinity Christian Academy 28-22. University Christian just can't catch a break and has now endured three losses in a row.
Trinity Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cameron Anderson led the charge by rushing for 131 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries. Anderson's longest rush was for an incredible 73 yards. Trinity Christian Academy also got a significant boost from Darnell Rogers, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 83 yards.
University Christian bumped their record down to 5-6 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 18.0 points per game. As for Trinity Christian Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.
University Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Trinity Christian Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Orlando Christian Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Orlando Christian Prep comes in on three and Trinity Christian Academy on four.
