The Randolph Cardinals will look to defend their home court on Monday against the Frewsburg Bears at 7:30 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Randolph comes in on three and Frewsburg on 12.
Randolph put the finishing touches on their ninth blowout victory of the season on Monday. They really took it to Falconer for the full four quarters, racking up a 51-18 victory at home. With Randolph ahead 28-8 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Randolph found their leader in underclassman Skylar Herington, who scored 26 points along with six rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Herington has scored at least a third of Randolph's points. Zoey Dickerson was another key contributor, scoring six points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Meanwhile, Frewsburg strolled past Portville with points to spare last Thursday, taking the game 65-51.
Frewsburg's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Teghan Trocki, who went 7 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 21 points and 2 assists. Another player making a difference was Jadyn Trocki, who scored 20 points along with seven assists and two steals.
Randolph has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. As for Frewsburg, they pushed their record up to 15-2 with that win, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season.
Things could have been worse for Randolph, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 64-46 loss to Frewsburg in their previous matchup two weeks ago.
