The Buffalo Bison will face off against the Edina Hornets at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are still undefeated after three games, but that won't be the case come Friday.
Buffalo's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They came out on top against Eden Prairie by a score of 3-0.
JAMESON STERN looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.
At the plate, WILL MIRIOVSKY was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run. Another player making a difference was TYSON MOORE, who went 1-for-4 with one home run.
Buffalo lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since the start of last season.
Meanwhile, Edina got the win against Maple Grove on Wednesday by a conclusive 13-2.
Ari Miller spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on six hits.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Bode McConnell, who fired off two home runs, four RBI, and one stolen base while going 2-for-4. Those two home runs gave him a new career-high. Jackson McGrath was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
Edina's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Buffalo, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 3-0.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Friday. Buffalo hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.7 home runs per game. However, it's not like Edina struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.7 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Buffalo was able to grind out a solid win over Edina in their previous meeting back in April of 2025, winning 4-1. Will the Bison repeat their success, or do the Hornets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
