Christopher Mcdonel had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 93 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries. He got the majority of those yards when he took off on a run and that went for an incredible57 yards. Kadyn Thomas also helped with two touchdowns in total.
Space Coast's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged three passes before it was all said and done. Thomas picked up that interception and then proceeded to rub salt in the wound by taking it back the other way for a touchdown. His also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, defending four passes and snagging three interceptions which he returned one-yard for a touchdown.
Space Coast's victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-0.
Space Coast will venture away from home to challenge St. Edward's at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Gateway, they will head out to square off against Astronaut at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Gateway is looking for their season?s first win.
