Coosa Valley Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Cornerstone Christian apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.
Zeke Adams was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 18 rebounds for Cornerstone Christian. Those 17 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Waugh, who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds.
Coosa Valley Academy's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-9. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 28.8 points per game. As for Cornerstone Christian, their win bumped their record up to 4-6.
Coosa Valley Academy and Chambers Academy will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. After both having extra time off, Cornerstone Christian and Meadowview Christian will dust off their jerseys to square off against one another at 4:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024. Meadowview Christian comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
