They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 85-83 victory over the Banff Bears. The Cougars' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Despite the defeat, Banff had strong showings from Isaac Sumpter, who shot 4-for-6 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double with 38 points and 20 rebounds, and Jayden Oriedetu, who dropped a double-double with 27 points and 17 boards. Thanks to that strong game, Sumpter now owns an excellent 50% three-point shooting accuracy. The team also got some help courtesy of Vinnie Chu, who posted five points along with eight assists and eight boards.
