The Valley Falls Dragons scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 66-16 win over McLouth at home. Perhaps unsurprisinly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.
Valley Falls had a senior duo take command as Korie Kirkwood scored 20 points along with seven steals and five rebounds and Lauren Brown scored 14 points along with six rebounds and five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Brown has scored all season. Cali DeLong was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with two steals.
The victory makes it two in a row for Valley Falls and bumps their season record up to 6-7. As for McLouth, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-14-2.
Valley Falls will head out on the road to face off against Atchison County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Valley Falls has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for McLouth, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Jefferson County North on Thursday. McLouth comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 18 points in their last 11 games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
