Tunkhannock is a perfect 10-0 against Wyoming Valley West since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Tigers will be playing at home against the Spartans at 4:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Tunkhannock has nine straight victories, Wyoming Valley West has six straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Thursday, Tunkhannock was able to grind out a solid win over Dallas, taking the game 6-2.

McKenzie Hannon spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on four hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Erin Van Ness was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Alli Kinney, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one double.
Meanwhile, Wyoming Valley West lost 19-6 to Dallas on Wednesday.
Isabella Seip was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two runs and two doubles. Another player making a difference was Natalie Geffert, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
Tunkhannock pushed their record up to 16-1 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Wyoming Valley West, their loss dropped their record down to 1-12.
Wyoming Valley West's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Tunkhannock has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 11 hits per game. It's a different story for Wyoming Valley West, though, as they've been averaging 12.3 hits. Given Tunkhannock's sizable advantage in that area, the Spartans will need to find a way to close that gap.
Tunkhannock took their victory against Wyoming Valley West in their previous matchup back in April by a conclusive 12-2 score. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Spartans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
