The Ashland Blue Devils had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Strayhorn 60-16 on the road. For Ashland, this counts as revenge for the 36-34 defeat Strayhorn walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2021.
Ashland's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Destiny Stewart led the charge by scoring 26 points. Victory McKinnie was another key contributor, scoring 19 points.
Ashland's victory bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Strayhorn, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ashland will take on Jumpertown at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Jumpertown is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Strayhorn, they will be playing at home against Charleston at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
