It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Resurrection Christian ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Liberty Common Eagles 7-5. Winning may never get old, but the Cougars sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row.
Braedyn Budd made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits (and only one walk).
