The Delone Catholic Squires won the last time they faced the Hanover Nighthawks, and things went their way on Friday too. Delone Catholic simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Hanover 49-7 on the road. The result was nothing new for Delone Catholic, who have now won three games by 36 points or more so far this season.
Among those leading the charge was Gage Zimmerman, who rushed for 111 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries. Zimmerman's longest rush was for an incredible 74 yards. Braden Smith and his 82 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Delone Catholic's victory.
Delone Catholic's win was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 5-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 38.0 points per game. As for Hanover, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.
Delone Catholic will be playing in front of their home fans against Fairfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hanover, they will head out on the road to face off against York County Tech at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Pennsylvania (York County Tech is ranked 541st, while Hanover is ranked 524th).
