Basketball Recap: Guerin Catholic Beats Lafayette Central Catholic for Their Tenth Straight Win

Guerin Catholic waltzed into their match on Friday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. They breezed by the Lafayette Central Catholic Knights to the tune of 67-31. The Golden Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 21 points or more this season.

Guerin Catholic was led to victory by Carter Murans and Bryson Cardinal. Murans went 8 of 9 en route to 19 points and six rebounds, while Cardinal went 7 for 13 on his way to 18 points and six boards. Cardinal's evening made it ten games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Julian Melendez, who went 5 of 7 on his way to 10 points and six rebounds.

Guerin Catholic was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lafayette Central Catholic only racked up nine assists.

Despite the loss, Lafayette Central Catholic still got an impressive performance from Charlie Seaburg, who posted six points.
