Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Rye Country Day walked away with it. They walked away with  a   13-6  win over the Hackley Hornets  on Saturday. Winning may never get old, but the Wildcats sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
 Rye Country Day got their  victory on the backs of several key players, but it was  Charlie Pearle out in front who rushed for 74 yards on only nine carries, and also picked up 46 receiving yards. The Wildcats also got a significant boost from  Alex Vlasto, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 81 yards.
Rye Country Day's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Hackley, they dropped their record down to 5-3 with the  loss, which was their third straight  on the road.
As of now, neither Rye Country Day nor the Hornets have any future games scheduled.
