On Monday, Pinson Valley humbled Fultondale with a 59-9 victory. Given Pinson Valley's advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 105th, while Fultondale is ranked 249th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Pinson Valley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Aniya Brown, who scored 14 points along with 3 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Raven Lewis, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds.
Pinson Valley now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Fultondale, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pinson Valley won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Paul W. Bryant at 6:00 p.m. on November 28th. Paul W. Bryant is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. Fultondale is on the road again on Wednesday and play against Clay-Chalkville at 3:30 p.m. on November 29th. Clay-Chalkville will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
