The Hopi Bruins can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 44-18 margin over Ash Fork. The win was just what Hopi needed coming off of a 55-33 defeat in their prior match.
Ash Fork's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Eva Flores, who scored five points. Flores scored a full 27.8% of Ash Fork's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Hopi's victory bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Ash Fork, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-12.
Hopi and Pinon will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Ash Fork is on the road again on Thursday and play against Music Mountain at 4:30 p.m. on December 28th. Music Mountain has now lost 11 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 16.
