Peyton Schwieter posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Thursday. She struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk), good enough for us to rate the performance as the best she's had all season long. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one walk in ten consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, Schwieter and Boyd-Buchanan will be taking part in a tournament against Soddy Daisy at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
