Trinity is 3-0 against Los Molinos since February of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Trinity Wolves are on the road again and play against the Los Molinos Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on December 5th. Hopefully Trinity focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Saturday.
Last Saturday, Trinity came up short against Loyalton and fell 53-42.
Despite their loss, Trinity saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Luka Robles, who scored 12 points along with 6 rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Taylor Rhein, who scored 14 points.
Meanwhile, Los Molinos' recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They took a 63-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of Paradise. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Karson Fox put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 29 points along with 6 rebounds. He scored a full 52.7% of Los Molinos' points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Josh Alcazar was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals.
Even though they lost, Los Molinos were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Paradise only pulled down four.
The losses dropped Trinity to 2-2 and Loyalton to 3-2.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Trinity have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 35.2 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Los Molinos struggles in that department as they've been averaging 24 per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out. Everything came up roses for Trinity against Los Molinos when the teams last played back in December of 2022 as the squad secured a 71-35 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Trinity since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
