The Farmersville Aztecs''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their ninth straight loss. They were dealt a 35-8 loss at the hands of Corcoran. Farmersville was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Corcoran apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.
Corcoran's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Eian Hernandez, who picked up 148 receiving yards and two touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Tony Alvarez, who threw for 188 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 passes.
Farmersville's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 1-9. As for Corcoran, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season.
Farmersville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Corcoran will look to defend their home field on Friday against North at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (North is ranked 601st, while Corcoran is ranked 597th).
