After five games on the road, Mississippi School for the Deaf is heading back home. They will take on the West Lincoln Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 50-21, which was the final score in Mississippi School for the Deaf's tilt against Stringer on Tuesday.
Despite their loss, Mississippi School for the Deaf saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. DeSiare Ingram, who scored seven points, was perhaps the best of all. Ingram scored a full 33.3% of Mississippi School for the Deaf's points, the 11th time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Aimaya Brand, who scored six points.
Meanwhile, West Lincoln unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak last Tuesday. They took a 42-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wesson.
Mississippi School for the Deaf's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for West Lincoln, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.
Mississippi School for the Deaf was taken down by West Lincoln 54-22 in their previous matchup back in December of 2022. The match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Mississippi School for the Deaf was down 42-15.
