4A Special District 1 recap November 19, 2013
Ridgeview was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after beating Henley. The Ravens came in at 22 in the state poll after placing at number 29 last week.
Ridgeview extended the longest winning streak in 4A Special District 1 this week by beating the Hornets, 28-21. The win marks 10th in a row for the andy codding's team.
The Ravens' offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Jacob Johnson threw for 67 yards and Tanner O'Neal had 39 yards receiving. On the ground Boomer Fleming contributed 157 yards. Jack Bowman helped Ridgeview's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 28 yards.
Fleming provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Ridgeview bested Henley.
Fleming was the best running back in the league this week. In 26 carries, he ran for 157 yards as the Ravens bested Wayne Amos' team. Teammate Tanner Stevens added to the ground attack by rushing for 67 yards.
Ridgeview's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Ravens feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Johnson has thrown for 810 yards and 10 touchdowns this season, while Bowman has 36 catches for 567 yards.
Ridgeview led the league in scoring this week after putting up 28 points on the Hornets. Fleming during the win.
