With a playoff win on the line, Cascade rose to the challenge on Monday. They never let the Owen Valley Patriots get on the board and left with a 12-0 victory. Considering the Cadets have won nine games by more than seven runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Cascade got a great performance from Davis Hart as he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave Hart a new career-high in strikeouts (five).

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Brady Beikes, who fired off two home runs and six RBI while going 2-for-3. Those six RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Braxton Lewis, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one home run.

Cascade lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Cascade is on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 17 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Owen Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season.

As of now, neither Cascade nor Owen Valley have any future games scheduled.
