Parrish Community had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They were the clear victor by a 7-1 margin over the Lakewood Ranch Mustangs on Tuesday. The Bulls are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 12 straight dating back to last season.
Sophia Mandarine tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and only two hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. What's more, she also gave up only zero earned runs, the fewest she's had since back in April of 2024.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Alysa Jones, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Mackenzie Pandelo was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
