The Apopka Christian Academy Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Legacy Charter, falling 66-20. Apopka Christian Academy was down 54-18 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
Mallory Daniels was her usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double on 38 points and nine steals for Legacy Charter. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Daniels has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashlyn Kraus, who scored 20 points along with three steals.
Apopka Christian Academy dropped their record down to 0-3 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 23.0 points per game. As for Legacy Charter, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-10.
Apopka Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Legacy Charter, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Santa Fe Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th. Legacy Charter is facing Santa Fe Catholic at the right time seeing as Santa Fe Catholic is stuck on a 16-game losing streak.
