The Leroy Bears's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 95-31 defeat at the hands of Jackson. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Leroy has scored all season.
Leroy struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Jackson to victory, but perhaps none more so than Micah Caster, who scored 18 points along with five assists. The matchup was Caster's eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of William Joseph Taylor, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Leroy's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Jackson, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-1.
Leroy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Fruitdale at 5:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024. Fruitdale is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Jackson, they will head out on the road to face off against McIntosh at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. McIntosh is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
