She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over four innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits (and only one walk). Russell was even better at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI.
In other batting news, Alice Vickers was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and one double. Arin Sturdivant was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-4.
