Circle Christian is 0-4 against Windermere Prep since March of 2024 but things could change on Saturday. The Centurions are taking a road trip to square off against the Lakers at 10:00 a.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
While Centurions fans will have to keep waiting for their squad to come home, they shouldn't be too worried about the road trip considering the result of Tuesday's season opener. They came out on top against Wekiva by a score of 23-19 on Tuesday.
Jon Waldrop was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and only one walk). Waldrop was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his six plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Circle Christian let Cayden Cook and Grant Lion run wild. Cook went 4-for-5 with three runs, four RBI, and one double, while Lion got on base in three of his four plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those four runs gave Lion a new career-high. Dominic Maymo was another key player, going 1-for-5 with five RBI and one run.
Windermere Prep not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 1, 2025 (when they won 19-7). They put the hurt on Crooms Academy with a sharp 11-4 victory. The Lakers haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.
Matthew Kirk made a splash while hitting and pitching. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Kirk was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with three RBI.
In other batting news, Windermere Prep got a massive performance out of Nicolas Pe?a, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Lucas Montalvo, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Circle Christian might still be hurting after the 19-7 defeat they got from Windermere Prep in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. Can the Centurions avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
