Volleyball Recap: Compton Early College Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Compton Early College had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Compton Tarbabes. That's more bragging rights for the Rising Phoenix, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Compton Early College took every set by at least 14 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-11, 25-10.

Compton Early College's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Compton, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, Compton Early College will take on Dominguez in a tournament on Monday. As for Compton, they will challenge Centennial at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
