Holt have been homebodies their last two matches, but they are heading out on Saturday. They take on Fort Zumwalt West at 1:00 PM. Fort Zumwalt West will need to watch out since Holt have now posted big point totals in their last three contests.
Holt found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 35-61 punch to the gut against Troy-Buchanan last Friday. Holt's loss came about despite a quality game from junior Matthew Bennett, who picked up 96 yards on the ground and accumulated 177 passing yards.
Meanwhile, if Fort Zumwalt West were riding high off their 49-0 takedown of Howell North two weeks ago, that ride came to an abrupt end. Fort Zumwalt West took a hard 14-34 fall against Howell.
With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better outcome in this one. We'll see which team satisfies their hunger and which team leaves with an empty stomach.
