The Orchard Park Quakers will head out to square off against the Lancaster Legends at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Orchard Park is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.
While Orchard Park's victory against Hamburg wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Quakers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Bulldogs on Saturday.

Luke Staniszewski made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 4.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.
In other pitching news, Lincoln Tranquilli looked comfortable as he pitched 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
Back at the plate, Zachary Huber was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run and one stolen base. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Lancaster, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They had just enough and edged out Depew 4-2.
The team relied heavily on Michael Falls, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Lancaster is undefeated when Falls posts two or more runs, but 3-5 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Matthew King, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run and one RBI.
Lancaster's record is now 7-5. As for Orchard Park, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.
Orchard Park's speedy runners might be the difference in Monday's match. The Quakers have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.9 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Lancaster, though, as they've been averaging only 1.2 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Orchard Park continue to outrun the ball?
Orchard Park skirted past Lancaster 2-0 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Quakers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
