On Friday, the Mid-Pacific Institute Owls faced the Kaimuki Bulldogs in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Mid-Pacific Institute came out on top against Kaimuki by a score of 61-52. The victory was nothing new for Mid-Pacific Institute as they're now sitting on three straight.
Logan Mason continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 25 points. The match was his seventh in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jacob Bow, who scored 12 points.
Mid-Pacific Institute's win bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Kaimuki, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.
Mid-Pacific Institute is on the road again on Wednesday and play against Los Alamitos at 12:00 p.m. on December 27th. Los Alamitos knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 13 matchups -- so hopefully Mid-Pacific Institute likes a good challenge. Kaimuki won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Kaiser at 7:00 p.m. on December 23rd. Kaiser is out to stop a six-game streak of losses at home.
