The Carbon Hill Bulldogs lost against the Dora Bulldogs two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Carbon Hill fell 48-38 to the Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, Carbon Hill can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 269th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 122nd).
Dora's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Bella Reese, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. Reese is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Lyria Meadows was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds.
Carbon Hill's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-14. As for Dora, their victory bumped their record up to 20-6.
Carbon Hill does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Dora and the Tigers will face off at 5:00 p.m. on February 5th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
