On Tuesday, the Ennis Lions kept a clean sheet against the Crandall Pirates. They won by a  goal and slipped past the Pirates  1-0.  Sebastian Hernandez had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Ennis.
 The  victory was  the third in a row for Ennis, bringing their record for this year to 5-2-1. Those victories were due in large part to their  offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  scored nine  goals over those three  matches. As for Crandall, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost four of their last five matchups,  which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.
 Ennis will be playing in front of their home fans against Red Oak at 7:15  p.m.  on Friday. Red Oak is coming into the  contest with three straight  victories on the road,  meaning Ennis will have to defend against a  team hungry for a  win. As for Crandall, they will  take on Corsicana at 7:15  p.m.  on Friday. Corsicana is facing Crandall at the right time seeing as Crandall is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
