The Clewiston Tigers had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.4 points), and they went ahead and made it six on Wednesday. They blew past East Lee County, posting a 46-7 win on the road. That looming 46-7 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Clewiston yet this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Clewiston to victory, but perhaps none more so than Milan Holomes, who scored 14 points along with five steals. Holomes is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Neveah Baldwin, who scored ten points along with five rebounds.
Clewiston's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-2. Despite that those victories, the team's offense hasn't been rolling: across that stretch, they only averaged 27.0 points per game. As for East Lee County, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clewiston will take on Glades Day at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Glades Day comes in still looking for their first win of the season. East Lee County won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against South Fort Myers at 6:30 p.m. on January 11th. South Fort Myers has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
