Dunmore hasn't had much luck against Holy Cross recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Bucks will venture away from home to challenge the Crusaders at 4:30 p.m. Dunmore is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.
Dunmore took a loss when they played away from home last Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They came out on top against Western Wayne by a score of 7-4.

Paige Ancherani was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, earning two runs and two stolen bases. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jaclyn Brown, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024.
Holy Cross came out on top against Old Forge on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run second inning. The Crusaders walked away with an 8-4 win over the Blue Devils. Eight seems to be a good number for the Crusaders as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.
AVA SCHMIDT spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up six Ks.
On the hitting side, MIA GALELLA and LILA KOLCHARNO did most of the damage at the plate: GALELLA went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double, while KOLCHARNO went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of CLAIRE HELRING, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Dunmore's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-4. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Holy Cross, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-1.
Tuesday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Dunmore hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .319. However, it's not like Holy Cross struggles in that department as they've averaged .396. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Dunmore couldn't quite get it done against Holy Cross in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 as they fell 6-3. Can the Bucks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
